This account and data deletion policy applies to the website, products and services offered under the brand WAAPI, operated by WAAPI (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using our services you agree to this account and data deletion policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the services.
1. Requesting deletion
You may request deletion of your account at any time from your panel settings or by writing to us from your registered email address. We verify every request to protect your data from fraudulent deletion.
2. What gets deleted
On confirmed deletion we remove or irreversibly anonymise your personal data and service content — profile, contacts, messages, templates, media and settings — from active systems within 30 days.
3. What we must retain
We may retain limited data where the law requires or permits: tax and billing records (retained per statutory periods), records needed to resolve disputes or enforce agreements, and security logs for a limited window. Retained data stays protected and is deleted when the retention purpose ends.
4. Backups
Data in encrypted backups is purged on the normal backup rotation cycle after active-system deletion.
5. Outstanding balances
Deletion does not waive amounts due, and unused prepaid balance is not refundable per the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
6. Third-party channels
Data held by connected third-party platforms (e.g. your WhatsApp Business account with Meta) is controlled by those platforms — deletion there follows their processes.
Governing law & jurisdiction
This document is governed by the laws of India. For operators in India this includes the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Where we serve customers in other jurisdictions, we honour applicable local requirements including the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) to the extent they apply. Courts at our registered place of business have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any non-waivable consumer rights in your country of residence.
